The Executive Board of the EUSA is elected by the membership at the December general meeting. Board members serve for a term of one year with no restriction on the number of terms a member may serve. The board meets once each month including two general meetings held in June and December. General meetings are publicized in Feet First, and on the web site, and areto all members of the league.
Any member is eligible to run for any board position, with the exception that candidates for president must have previously served on the board for at least one full year during the three years prior to the election. Members who are not currently on the board and want to run for an office must declare their candidacy in writing, to be received by the current president or at the EUSA post office box no later than three days prior to the November Executive Board meeting immediately preceding the election meeting.
Our last election was held at the general meeting on December 5, 20001 at 7:30 pm at the Edison Moose Lodge.
The next election will be held at the general meeting in December, 2002. Details will be posted when they become available.
The deadline for formally declaring candidacy for a position on the 2003 Board is, tentatively, November 3, 2002. More specific information is available in the bylaws governing eligibility for office and requirements for nominations.
To reach the Edison Moose Lodge take Talmadge Road north through traffic light at New Durham Road (QuickChek on left, Walgreen's on right). Turn left at next light. Less than 1/4 mile on left look for "Edison Moose" sign - it looks like a street sign - and turn left. Moose Lodge is almost immediately on your right. - OR - Take Plainfield Rd to Park Ave. Once on Park Ave. continue straight through next traffic light at Woodbrook Corners (Park becomes Talmadge). At next light turn right. Less than 1/4 mile turn left. Moose Lodge is almost immediately on your right.
